78 We are an education group with a difference. Students are offered the choice of 6 registered colleges all owned and managed by Garratt’s Limited, a company listed on the Aus- tralian Stock Exchange that has been operating for 100 years. Our colleges meet the well-regarded, carefully supervised standards of the Australian international education market, and also comply with the strict financial and reporting regulations of the Aus- tralian Stock Exchange. Colleges Over the years, thousands of students from more than 85 countries have come to Australia to study at the col- leges that make up the Academies Australasia Group: n+#7; Academy of English (ELICOS) [Operations include Academy of English (Blue Mountains) and Academy of English (Korea)] n+#7; Australian International High School (Senior High School) n+#7; Academy of Social Sciences (Vocational) n+#7; Australian College of Technology (Vocational) n+#7; Clarendon Business College (Vocational) n+#7; Supreme Business College (Vocational). These colleges, which are conveniently located in Sydney’s CBD (505 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000) and in the Blue Mountains, offer courses that are registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (‘CRICOS’). Courses Our colleges offer a wide range of recognised courses at different levels. Fields of study include: English: n+#7; General English n+#7; EAP, TOEIC, TOEFL and IELTS preparation n+#7; Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Vocational: n+#7; Accounting & Financial Services n+#7; Business Administration n+#7; Business Management n+#7; Information Technology n+#7; Marketing n+#7; Travel and Tourism Senior High School: n+#7; Year 11 n+#7; Year 12 The wide range of courses requires us to maintain a close dialogue with several regulatory authorities includ- ing the Board of Studies, National ELT Accreditation Scheme (‘NEAS’), New South Wales Vocational Educa- tion & Training Accreditation Board (‘VETAB’), Department of Immigra- tion and Citizenship (‘DIAC’) and Department of Education, Science and Technology (‘DEST’). Advanced Standings We have articulation and advanced standing arrangements in place with many leading higher educa- tion institutions in Australia. These include arrangements with Australian Catholic University, Blue Mountains Hotel School, Charles Darwin Univer- sity, Charles Sturt University, Curtin University, James Cook University, La Trobe University, Macquarie Univer- sity, Murdoch University, University of Ballarat, University of Canberra, Uni- versity of Newcastle, University of New England, University of Queensland, University of Southern Queensland, University of the Sunshine Coast and TAFE. Course credits enable students to save both time and money. In addition, many of our students have achieved advanced standing and successfully completed degrees and other programs at institutions such as Griffith University, Sydney University, University of New South Wales, Uni- versity of Technology Sydney and Le Cordon Bleu. International Operations Strong alliances have been established with several educational institutions overseas, such as in China, Germany, Malaysia and South Korea. Our international partners include Beijing Normal University (China), Tianjin Radio & TV University (China), Baltic College (Germany), The Oto- motif College (Malaysia) and Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education (South Korea). The collaboration with our internation- al partners is in respect of programs in Australia and overseas. An example is our delivery of the TESOL program to Elementary, Middle and High School teachers in Incheon Province, South Korea.
