Introducing the Galileo Connect modular Data Centre The Galileo Connect modular Data Centre concept is the result of a de- cade of study into the architectural, engineering and operational issues involved in the provision and on-going management of highly resilient Data Centres. It has been thoroughly tested enabling them to offer a unique fully designed, fully specified product that provides both a significant degree of flexibility in its response to different client needs and sound future proof- ing. Scalable power supply, fibre availabil- ity, levels of resilience, adaptability, modularity, speed to market and of course cost and delivery certainly are paramount to the long term success of these facilities. Research into product design involving market-leading sup- ply “partners” has resulted in being able to generate a standard parts list covering all building elements from mechanical and electrical components to structural steel to cladding, and raised floors to lighting. Galileo Connect’s vast experience coupled with the latest technology, modeling and interactive software de- sign tools has enabled us to produce a ‘fit all’ product, solely dependent on the amount of server capacity required. Galileo Connect products are designed around the most practical footprint for a data floor in terms of construction, power and cooling options. Each data hall is based on 1000m² and at 1500w/ m² and Tier 4 power and cooling is capable of accommodating 400 ‘cabi- nets’. Each facility is capable of being up graded to 4500w/m² offering the occupier long term surety of tenure and unparalleled levels of flexibility . GC One This product comprises a 3 level build- ing accommodating a 1000m² data hall with a total building area of 5653 m². This facility has a standard design point of 1500 watts per sqm with up- gradeability to 2000, 3000 and 4500 w/ m² inherent to the design. In addition to the technical space there is a 4 level front office area providing service and general administration facilities. GC Two This product comprises a 4 level build- ing accommodating a 1000m² data hall with a total building area of 7303 m². This facility has a standard design point of 1500 watts per sqm with up- gradeability to 2000, 3000 and 4500 w/ m² inherent to the design. In addition to the technical space there is a 4 level front office area providing service and general administration facilities with a 3rd level office of 1655 m² specifically designed to accommodate staff in the event of a business continuity require- ment. GC Three This product provides a more flexible multi tenant facility with the inherent engineering design from the GC 1 prod- uct. The total building area of 14366 m². The ground floor provides for plant and equipment as well as security ac- cess. The second and third levels each accommodate 2 separated data halls of 1000m² providing 4000 m² in total. Each level has its own separated plant and equipment infrastructure. This facility has been specifically de- signed for : 1. IT service operators seeking to support multiple customers who have smaller size requirements and who seek caged or separated areas. 2. Large single clients whose immedi- ate requirements may be met by 2 or 3 data halls and who seek to have inherent expansion within the same facility. As such the level 2 data halls can remain slab to slab shells until growth demands trigger fitout.
