Partnership Partnership at Kingsway gives a lifeline of support for students, co-operation between home and College and a vibrant community spirit. Pastoral care flows naturally from teachers and students peers and two chaplains are available to your child for prayer and personal counselling. The very existence of Kingsway Chris- tian College originates from the care and concern of Christian parents. This on-going partnership with the College community is considered vital to the continued success of education at Kingsway. Many and varied opportuni- ties exist for parents to be actively involved in their child’s education. Partnership in the College community extends beyond student’s school days. Upon graduation, students are wel- comed into membership of the Alumni of Kingsway Collegians. This Alumni is a tangible expression of the College’s commitment to see its students grow to maturity in Christ and in society. Diversity A comprehensive range of subjects and activities are offered to all students. A solid framework of compulsory core subjects is enhanced by a variety of electives. Music, languages, comput- ing, drama, art and sport are all taught by specialist teachers. An extra- curricular programme further develop students’ learning and experiences. A variety of learning models and teaching techniques are employed in Kingsway’s education programme. The diverse capabilities of students are also well accommodated through the College’s Academic Extension Programme for gifted students, and remedial support for academically disadvantaged students. Kingsway’s educational diversity seeks to recognise and develop a variety of student abilities and to uphold their equal value under Christ. Extensive Facilities Kingsway’s extensive facilities include: modern and spacious air conditioned classrooms, dedicated and fenced off kindergarten and pre-primary ameni- ties, primary and secondary libraries, canteen, purpose built music and drama rooms, science and computer labs and picturesque gardens. King- sway’s sporting facilities comprise of playing fields for rugby, football and athletics. The College also offers a gymnasium, as well as basketball and netball courts. International Students Students are hosted in Homestay accommodation by established mem- bers of the College community who have their own children at the College. An International Student Coordinator helps students to settle in and assists in all aspects of their stay.
